Is silver primarily an industrial metal or a monetary metal? The Stock Research Portal Blog – http://www.stockresearchportalblog.com/2009/02/silver-current-price/– doesn’t think so. In response to this article – click here http://seekingalpha.com/article/119248-take-a-look-at-silver?source=article_lb_articles – which argues that silver looks to be a better investment than gold, SRPB comments, “I do not purport to understand technical analysis, and personally do not rely on it or those who comment on it.” But, nevertheless, “I am unable to get comfortable with the supply/demand silver equation in current times of base metal extraction reduction (a large part of the ‘new annual silver supply’ coming from that source) and the reciprocal side of the equation.”

I been reading on silver lately in search of opportunities, according to an article on SeekingAlpha.com, silver may be a better “technical” bet than gold – click here http://seekingalpha.com/article/119248-take-a-look-at-silver?source=article_lb_articles. The Stock Research Portal Blog – click here http://www.stockresearchportalblog.com/2009/02/silver-current-price/
    – comments, “I am unable to get comfortable with the supply/demand silver equation in current times of base metal extraction reduction … the reciprocal side of the equation, being what have to be current reduced levels of industrial demand.” Furthermore, the Blog does not see “silver principally as an industrial metal” nor does it consider it “a monetary metal.”
