Tech stock pops on electric vehicle agreement
Azure Dynamics (TSX: T.AZD) shares powered 22% higher to 5.5 cents after the provider of hybrid electric and electric components and powertrain systems for commercial vehicles and Johnson Controls-Saft announced a new supply agreement that will provide lithium-ion (Li-Ion) hybrid battery technology to power commercial vehicles in North America. The five-year supply agreement signals progress in the development of a U.S. supply base to help build an infrastructure for development and manufacture of hybrid electric vehicles.
