AAER signs $2.6 million turbine supply agreement
Quebec-based wind turbine equipment manufacturer AAER Inc. (TSX: V.AAE) announced Friday that it has signed an agreement for the delivery of a 1.65 MW wind turbine to the Massachusetts Municipal Light Department Wind Energy Cooperative, which includes the Templeton Municipal Light and Water Plant in Baldwinville, Massachusetts.
Alternative energy stock pops on zoning approval
Shares of Western Wind Energy (TSX: V.WND, Stock Forum) powered 20% higher to $1.12 after the wind energy electrical production firm reported that on June 9, 2009, it had received unanimous consent from the Kern County Board of Supervisors for the zoning approval of its 120 megawatt Windstar wind energy project in Tehachapi, California.
Zenn Motor confirms energy storage partner’s results
Shares of Zenn Motor Company (TSX: V.ZNN) jumped 4% to $5.46 Thursday, as the developer of electric vehicles announced that it has completed due diligence on energy storage partner EEStor, Inc.'s permittivity results of the manufacturing-grade chemicals to be used in their Electrical Energy Storage Units.
