Finavera Renewables up 27%
Finavera Renewables (TSX: V.FVR) shares shot up 27% as the developer of renewable energy resources and technologies announced it has signed an exclusive memorandum of understanding with GE for the firm pricing and supply of GE wind turbines for the company's 45 megawatt Tumbler Ridge Wind Project in British Columbia, Canada, which is planned to be constructed in 2011.

Finavera Renewables (TSX: V.FVR) shares powered 44% higher to 6.5 cents as the developer of renewable energy resources and technologies announced its bid to develop four wind energy projects in British Columbia. To facilitate the bid into BC Hydro's 2008 Clean Power Call, Finavera Renewables has signed a memorandum of understanding with GE Energy Financial Services for proposed financing of up to 295 megawatts of clean wind power projects in the Peace region in northeast British Columbia.
