Energy explorer soars on shale gas flow
Questerre Energy (TSX: T.QEC) shares jumped 37% to $5.05 on Tuesday after the energy explorer/producer reported test results from the St. Edouard No. 1A horizontal well in the St. Lawrence Lowlands, Quebec. The horizontal well was successfully completed with eight stage fracture stimulations.
Unbridled Energy Corp. shares soared 56 % on Monday
Shares of Unbridled Energy Corporation (TSX: V.UNE) soared 56% to 18 cents Monday after the company reported that it recently performed a large acid stimulation in the Elkton formation in its 16-21 well in the Chambers play in Alberta.
Unbridled Energy stock popped
Unbridled Energy (TSX: V.UNE) said it is scheduled to drill a stratigraphic test to basement (7,700 ft) on its NY acreage. The spud date is scheduled for the first week of April utilizing UDI rig 5. Management believes there are several potential gas-bearing formations that might be encountered such as the Utica Shale, Trenton / Black River, Theresa sandstone, and the Potsdam sandstone. Unbridled stock popped 118% to 12 cents.
Stealth Ventures stock pops on gas boost
Stealth Ventures (TSX: V.SLV) shares jumped 25% to 12.5 cents on Friday after the micro cap explorer announced results of its 2008 independent reserve evaluation, which estimates that total proved plus probable reserves from its Alberta shale gas property increased 71% in 2008 from the precious year.
