Uranium One acquires interest in Kazakhstan mine
Uranium One (TSX: T.UUU) announced Monday that it has signed an agreement to acquire a 50% interest in the Karatau Uranium Mine in Kazakhstan from JSC Atomredmetzoloto, the Russian state-owned uranium mining company.

Northern Continental Resources (TSX: V.NCR) shares climbed 60% to 20 cents on Friday after Denison Mines (TSX: T.DML) said it has signed a letter of intent to acquire Northern Continental in an all share transaction by way of a plan of arrangement. Denison will acquire Northern on the basis of 0.0920 Denison common shares for each share of Northern, valuing Northern at 20 cents a share. Northern holds a 60% interest in the Russell Lake uranium property located immediately adjacent to Denison's new Wheeler River uranium discovery in the Athabasca Basin of northern Saskatchewan.
Abitex Resources jumps on uranium-gold discovery
Abitex Resources (TSX: V.ABE) shares climbed 11% to 20 cents on Tuesday after the micro cap miner reported a new uranium-gold discovery on its 100% owned Epsilon property in Quebec. Two grab samples were taken from the Epsilon discovery outcrop. The samples returned grades of 2.15% U3O8 and 17.25 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, as well as 1.04% U3O8 and 8.69 g/t gold.
Forsys Metals announces second agreement with GFI
Forsys Metals (TSX: T.FSY) announced Thursday that it has signed a second agreement with George Forrest International Afrique S.P.R.L., extending the closing date of GFI’s acquisition of the company to July 31.
